Summer Program

The Viver Portugal Summer Program is dedicated to all the young people with Portuguese heritage living in country of the world. The program has a main priority the possibility to give young people with Portuguese heritage a chance to learn more about Portuguese values as well as the possibility to live in direct contact with cultural, linguistic, economical and social characteristics of Portuguese society.

If you have Portuguese heritage and if you are between 14 and 26 years old, come and LIVE Portugal ALIVE!

During the whole month of July each year, you may have a wonderful and unique experience of a lifetime wish will take place in Greater Lisbon.

· Home stay with a Portuguese family during the whole month with full-board;
· Four hours a day of Portuguese Language and Culture;
· Daily guided tours, visits, cultural and sport activities;
· Relaxing time at the wonderful Portuguese beaches;
· Insurance with no upper limit of coverage accident and sickness;
· Permanent support from the organization;
· You will be able to get white credits for your studies here.

If you are interested in participating in the program, you are required to send to Entre Culturas – APAC the Preliminary Application Form included in this brochure. Then you just have to wait for our answer. If you are selected you will receive a Final Application Form.

Additional information about the Viver Portugal Summer Program

GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. Date of the program: From July 1st until July 31st each year (2008)
2. Location of the program: Greater Lisbon
3. Age required: 14 to 26 years old
4. Special requirements: only young people with Portuguese heritage
5. Total net price of the program per person: To confirm

The Viver Portugal Summer Program includes:

1. Homestay in a Portuguese Host Family during the whole month, with full-board during weekends
2. Lunch from Monday to Friday
3. Insurance no upper limit coverage of accident and sickness
4. Four hours a day of Portuguese Language and Culture
5. Daily visits of cultural, sport and leisure interest
6. Permanent support from the organization
7. Final evaluation seminar in Lisbon

The Viver Portugal Summer Program DOES NOT INCLUDE:

1. International travel from the student’s home country to Portugal and trip back home
2. Pocket money
3. Any other personal expenses

HOW / WHEN TO APPLY?

1. The Preliminary Application Form will have to reach our office before March the 1st;
2. A notification that the candidate has been accepted into the program along with the Final Application Form will be sent to each participant until March the 10th;
3. Final Application Forms will have to reach our office before April the 15th;
4. Entre Culturas – APAC starts placing the students;
5. Until June the 15th all participants shall receive host family information.
